The purpose of the ESL ministry is to make those of other cultures and languages welcomed at Faith Bible Church.  We seek ways to minister the Gospel to them and to integrate those who are Christians into the body of Christ.  The most effective ways have been by providing classes in English as a Second Language, typing, computer and citizenship.  Many have been helped in getting jobs, assisting their children with homework and just adapting to life in America.  ESL offers the international a wonderful place to make new friends which a loving church provides.

Throughout the year special events are held where speakers, skits and fellowships in a home provide the opportunity to share the Lord.  Bible and Tracts are available each week at ESL for attendees to take home with them.

ESL classes started on September 16, 2009 and will end on May 20, 2010.  We provide 4 levels of instruction currently.

Internationals may join throughout the year.  Fees are $35 for the school year and classtimes are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.

Upcoming Special Events:

Thursday, March 25th - "The Meaning of Easter" will be presented to the ESL students after their class time followed by a special dessert and sharing time together.

Saturday, April 24th - ESL staff appreciation breakfast at 9:30am at Ruth Wright's home

Thursday, May 20th - Closing night of ESL with Pot Luck dinner and certificates to be given out to students

The ESL staff has 16 volunteer workers who are trained to effectively serve the Internationals.
